I\’m not sure if I mentioned this here or not, but I \”heard\” (read: saw it on youtube) that forever nuts by davidstea is just like what caramel almond amaretti used to be like.
so of course, I ordered some. in fact, I ordered quite a bit (buy 2 tins get 1 free).
I got the order last week but I haven\’t had access to my proper kettle until today.
it smells sweet – like a cinnamon bun. I\’m a little worried since I had already added rock sugar to my mug before it finished steeping.
oh well!
I love my double walled mug, mostly, except it takes so long for tea to cool down!
I wanna taste it already, ugh!

anyhow, I\’ll get back to you once I\’ve had the chance to taste it.

steep temp: 212℉
added: 2 scoops rock sugar (using the teavana perfectea spoon, which according to google is about 1.5 teaspoons)

now that I\’ve tasted it, it is a bit sickly sweet… still smells like a cinnamon bun but tastes more like cotton candy.
def gonna skip sugar for the next round. will reevaluate and get back to you.
